Aura Therapeía - 8 Steps to a Healing Home
It is fun to incorporate color into your home. Here are the 7 stages to follow in order to successfully apply Aura Therapeía to your home.
Select a room in your home that you want to apply Aura Therapeía to. What is its function? Bedroom, living room? What do you use the room for? Meditation, TV, sleeping, yoga, reading, sleep, music.
3 Assign Color Combination
Decide which color combination from the ones you have chosen is most appropriate for the room based on the Aura Therapeía Color System.

4 Activity Area Requirements
Identify activity areas in the room, for example a sofa for watching tv, a chair for reading, floor space for exercise, an area for using the computer etc. For each of the activity areas identify what is needed, e.g. cushions, mat, lamp, heat, fresh air. 5 Define Activity Areas
Based on requirements and space availability, identify areas in the room where best suits to do these activities. Designate different areas of the room for the different activities. If you use your exercise area for hanging clothes to dry on a clothes horse, then you are less likely to exercise! Keep each activity area clear and tidy so that you can perform the activity easily and without distraction. |
6 Color Incorporation
I prefer to keep walls neutral to give a feeling of clean calm open space. I incorporate colour primarily through accessories. Identify ways to incorporate color into your activity areas, for example a deep red sumptuous throw or blanket for when you watch TV on the sofa on a chilly winter's evening, or vibrant yellow candles with citrus aroma for morning yoga. |
7 Infuse Color
Infuse the room with the desired color combination. This may involve moving things from one room to another, spray-painting a vase or flowerpot a different color, or incorporating some new things into the room. I always advice clients to stick with accessories made from natural sources, such as a ceramic vase, a woollen rug or soy candles. Remember that plastic contains harmful chemicals and is not biodegradable and will detract from the sumptuousness of your living space. |
8 Infuse Nature
Aura Therapeía could stop at step 7, Infuse Color, however for a truly healing home it is essential to bring nature and natural elements into your home. Unique large pebbles or ornate shells make wonderful natural alternatives to store-bought ornaments. No matter which color combination you use, it is always healthy to have plants in the room. They bring a sense of freshness and vitality to any space. For a healing home, choose plants which produce oxygen or clean toxins from the air. Click the image to download! |
